Food was awesome, try chicken scampi. I never stopped there before because looks old and run down. Inside out dated also but the food won me over. Service was great as well.
After we had been given a 1 hr wait time at our usual Friday night spot we drifted into Placida Grill (had never been before) for a plate of fried shrimps, a Hazify beer and perfect service in nice cool surroundings. Hubby’s burger was also too notch. Will definitely go again. A hidden gem- thanks!
Our experience was phenomenal from the moment we walked through the door, our server recommended A grapefruit martini which was wonderful and we had the Filet mignon, which was cooked to perfection, and the sides were delicious mashed potatoes and mixed seasonal vegetables. I highly recommend the Placida Grill.
Me and my girlfriend have always wanted to try this restaurant and we finally got take out, she got the shrimp and grits, and I got the rigatoni bolognese, very good, we were very happy with the food and service and we decided we have to go in and try other stuff on the menu as well. Definitely a must try in Englewood
Wife and I have dined at Placida Grill many times. Nice family-owned destination. We started with a half wedge salad.. (delicious!) and a bottle of Roadrunner red blend.. (great wine!). Wife ordered the muscles, I got the blackened chicken pasta. Served over thin spaghetti and a white wine garlic reduction... Also delicious! Wife said her muscles and its sauce were tasty, but found over half had sand/grit she had to deal with. That's why the 4 stars vs 5. For dessert, we Shared their famous bread pudding. Service was excellent (thanks Mr. Kim!) and deserved the 20% we left. We will return!
My wife and I live nearby and dine here often and always enjoy all aspects of the restaurant. The service is great and food is top notch. We highly recommend Placida Grill for great food and superior service in the area.
Beth was our server and did a fantastic job. The food was delicious from our appetizer to entrees. We enjoyed the pork chop and skirt steak. We will definitely be back!
I have been hearing so much about this place, and as a foodie, I had to try it out. From start to finish, sitting at the bar, the service, vibe, and food were outstanding! Cynthia, who waited on us, was attentive and friendly and offered us the daily specials. Everything on the menu sounded spectacular, so it was hard to decide. That said, two of us ordered both fish specials (to try each) and shared an appetizer. The killer shrimp appetizer was delicious with the right amount of heat and sweet as a savory Thai dish (note, this was a soup, so we dipped bread; rice may have been a better option to share). The specials consisted of a pistachio-encrusted salmon and a hogfish (not encrusted). Both were covered in a light citrus beurre blanc sauce and were accompanied by lumpy, skin-on mashed potatoes and Parmesan Brussels sprouts. Everything was cooked to perfection! The food was excellent, and I would highly recommend the Placida Grill. Thanks for a fantastic experience and incredible food; excellent job, everyone!
